Aloft New Delhi Aerocity shows support for the 6th edition of Pinkathon

The newly opened urban luxe hotel – Aloft New Delhi Aerocity, held up to its uniqueness by being the luxury partner for the 6th edition of Pinkathon – India’s biggest women run founded by Milind Soman and Reema Sanghavi. With an objective of spreading awareness about women’s health related issues, breast cancer in particular, Pinkathon encourages adopting health and fitness in our daily lifestyles by means of running.

The run was flagged off by co-partner of the event – Aloft New Delhi Aerocity’s General Manager – Suman Gahlot. An icon of inspiration and an avid supporter of the movement she shared, “The team at Aloft is delighted to be associated with this year’s Pinkathon in Delhi. We believe that a little step is all it takes to help spread awareness about breast cancer and this incredible initiative aims at encouraging women to adopt a fitter lifestyle.”

An adherent herself, Gahlot is hopeful that greater knowledge and awareness will lead to earlier detection of breast cancer. This is also associated with higher long-term survival rates, and the money raised for breast cancer can produce a reliable, permanent cure.

Since its inception in 2012, Pinkathon has made it their mission to save lives by meeting the most serious needs in communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Pinkathon is more than a Marathon, it is the seed of change. It symbolizes the beginning of a movement carried forward by a growing community of empowered women across India, who share a belief that ‘a healthy family, a healthy nation and a healthy world begins with empowered women’.
