Argentina was the protagonist of one of the most important fairs in the cruise industry

INPROTUR was present at Seatrade, from 13 to 16 March in the United States.

The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, through the National Institute of Tourism (INPROTUR), participated in the international fair of the cruise industry Seatrade Cruise Global, from 13 to 16 March 2017, in Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, United States of America.

It should be noted that the presence of Argentina in this prestigious event took shape after years of absence. This is a sign of reopening of our country to the world, after working a product of utmost importance in the tourism industry, such as cruises.

The General Administration of Ports SE (AGPSE) – Port of Buenos Aires (PBA), representing the Ministry of Transport of the Nation, announced that soon will be signed alliance agreements with ports of Chile, Uruguay and Brazil.

Also, they held meetings with Silversea cruise lines, MSC Cruises, Norwegian, Costa & Holland, Royal Caribbean and Crystal Cruises. Another big news was the confirmation of the return to our country AIDA CARA cruise, the Carnival group, for the 2017-2018 season. This adds to the announcement issued by the company Celebrity, on the arrival of a new ship during 2018-2019. Moreover, AGPSE kept working groups with Uruguay and conducted a technical visit to the Cruise Terminal 18 from Port Everglades, Royal Caribbean Group.

For the Province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands, Seatrade meant an appointment other relevant. The port of Ushuaia is one of the main points of our country’s cruisers and gateway for expeditions to Antarctica.
