Visa Information for Kingdom of Bahrain (Bahrain)
Visa Note & Fees
Tourist Visa
Applicant must need a sponsor who can apply for a visa on his / her behalf. Contact one of the following for help:
- Your airline.
- Your intended hotel in Bahrain.
- A Bahrain travel agent.
- A Bahrain company which is willing to sponsor you.
- A Bahrain citizen who is willing to sponsor you.
No passenger is allowed to board the flight without the NOC (No Objection Certificate). Passengers in Mumbai may get the visa endorsement after showing the NOC to the Consulate with following documents:
- Original Passport and the photocopy of first & last page of the same.
- Two passport size photographs.
- Visa Fee of is Rs. 5600.
Business Visa
Applicant must need a sponsor who can apply for a visa on his / her behalf. Contact one of the following for help:
- Your airline.
- Your intended hotel in Bahrain.
- A Bahrain travel agent.
- A Bahrain company which is willing to sponsor you.
- A Bahrain citizen who is willing to sponsor you.
- The Applicant should have an original passport valid for minimum six months (along with photocopy).
- One visa form not hand-written but only typed (photocopy not allowed).
- Two passport-size photographs.
- A No-Objection Certificate from the Sponsor in Bahrain (in original). The Sponsor must submit the passport details to the Immigration Directorate to procure the No-Objection Certificate (NOC). This takes approximately 15 days.
- Thereafter, a medical examination is required from a doctor on the panel of the Consulate General. (This examination is exempted for children below 12 years and adults above 60 years of age).
- Confirmed return tickets / itinerary.
- Processing time is 24 hours.
- Visa is issued for a period of 14 days to 3 months. People traveling for employment can obtain a four weeks visit visa within which they must get their employment visa stamped on their passport to extend their stay.
No passenger is allowed to board the flight without the NOC. Passengers in Mumbai may get the visa endorsement after showing the NOC to the Consulate with following documents:
- Original Passport and the photocopy of first & last page of the passport.
- Two passport size photographs.
- Visa Fees is of Rs. 5600.
Transit Visa
Visa is not required for an onward journey within 72 hrs, without leaving the airport transit region and if persons are holding confirmed onward tickets and valid visa for the next destination.
Seamen Visa
Visa is not required if Indian seamen traveling on duty hold a letter of guarantee from the Shipping Company along with Seamen Book, and are boarding the Ship within 72 hours. Seamen must be met by the Shipping Agent who will be responsible for arranging the complete procedure.
