Bali International Convention Centre hosted 24th Coaltrans Asia 2018 Conference

Bali International Convention Centre at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali was honoured to host the consecutive 24th Coaltrans Asia 2018 conference from 6-8 May 2018 to connect with 800 delegates. This prestigious 3 day event was officially opened by the Minister Coordinator of Maritime Indonesia, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Indonesia, Ignasius Jonan.

Coaltrans Asia returned for its 24th year to connect 800 coal leaders for two days of networking, deal-making and discovering the latest industry content, all under one roof. After a few tough years the coal market finally roared back into health in 2017. Demand is up across Asia, and Indonesian coal output is increasing in order to take advantage of the new opportunities in the higher price environment. This event provided keynote presentations from industry thought-leaders, interviews with market influencers, interactive panel discussions and much more. This was held to ensure participants were well-equipped to stay ahead of the game.

During the conference, Coaltrans had exclusive access to BICC’s versatile Mangupura Hall with indoor and outdoor exhibition space as well as 20 meeting rooms and other supporting conveniences. Delegates were treated to an array of social events including a welcome cocktail reception, plenary and exhibition as well as networking beach reception. The Executive Chef Manoj Rawat and his culinary team had a careful and thoughtful preparation for the dining experience during the conference to experience the Westin brand initiatives including SuperFoodsRX as healthy eating options which were available at all dining venues. Bali International Convention Centre of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali ensured that all participants felt suitably renewed throughout the event and once again proved to be the perfect venue to host for a large scale group and conference by combining world-class business and leisure facilities.
