China Eastern Airlines Resumes Direct Shanghai-Delhi Flights from November 9, 2025
China Eastern Airlines has announced the resumption of flights on its India route. The direct flights between Shanghai and Delhi will start from November 9, 2025, with the service operating three times weekly on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The flight from Delhi, MU564, will depart at 7:55 PM, arriving in Shanghai at 4:10 AM the following day. Flight MU563 from Shanghai Pudong International Airport will depart at 12:50 PM and arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, at 5:45 PM local time. Tickets for the route are now available for sale.
The Shanghai and Delhi route is one of the most strategically significant air links between India and China, connecting the major economic and cultural hubs of both nations. The resumption of this service marks the full restoration of China Eastern Airlines’ network in India, providing fresh momentum for people-to-people exchanges and economic and trade collaboration.

China Eastern Airlines has designated the Airbus A330-200 for this route, renowned for its long-range capability and comfortable cabin environment. The aircraft is equipped with China Eastern’s advanced in-flight Wi-Fi system, enabling passengers to stay connected for business or personal use, thereby enhancing the overall travel experience on the China–India route. With seamless connections available through China Eastern’s Shanghai Pudong hub, travelers can conveniently reach major cities across mainland China as well as numerous international destinations in North America, Japan, South Korea, and Europe.
