Corporate travel revamp blends local HK experts with renowned global network
Business travel in Hong Kong and Southeast China is set to be transformed after the
consolidation of corporate operations at one of the largest travel management companies in the region.
On July 1, Corporate Travel Management (CTM) completed the integration of specialty
corporate services of Hong Kong’s most decorated agency, Westminster Travel. This
announcement comes two months after another member of the CTM Asia family, TLX
Travel, began operating as Corporate Travel Management.
“The merging of these great brands will significantly enhance CTM’s corporate travel offering in the region,” said CTM Asia Chief Executive Officer, Larry Lo. “Our customers will continue to benefit from the extensive local Hong Kong market expertise and personal service that has long been provided by Westminster and TLX. However, they will now gain access to the many benefits of CTM’s award-winning travel technology and global network.”
CTM entered the Asian market in November 2013 when it acquired Westminster. It provides innovative and cost-effective travel management solutions in more than 70 countries. The company delivers value to all aspects of travel programs, providing superior customer service, strategic advice, global buying power for improved return on investment, and 24/7 access to transformational data and technology.
A key differentiator for CTM is its proprietary travel tools, which are developed in the
company’s Hong Kong technology hub and customised specifically for the Asian travel
market. In April, the company launched Lightning, a world class online booking solution.
Westminster Travel has delivered world-class travel services in Asia since 1973 and has
been recognised as Hong Kong’s leading travel agency on eight occasions in the last ten
years at the annual TTG Travel Awards.
“We are excited about the future at CTM Asia,” Larry Lo said “CTM’s global network is
underpinned by compatible systems and processes in every market, delivering maximum savings, safety and efficiency. This is the perfect complement to the expert customer service we are renowned for throughout Asia and our experts will continue to work directly with our valued customers to understand their business travel needs.”
