David Tonkin appointed General Manager of PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport
With 20 years of industry experience in Australia, the Middle East and London, David now oversees PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport.
Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed David Tonkin as General Manager of the 276-room PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport, which has been listed in the ‘Best Airport Hotel, Australia/Pacific” category of the prestigious World Airport Awards for four consecutive years.
David has industry experience in Australia, the Middle East and London, having spent 12 years with Rydges Hotels and Resorts managing their flagship properties. Most recently, David was Regional Director, Operations at Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific where he oversaw the running of all properties in Victoria and Western Australia.
“David brings with him an invaluable combination of deep operational knowledge and stakeholder management skills. With his extensive knowledge of the Australia market, David is in a strong position to bring PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport into its next phase of growth. PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport, with its direct access to the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport via covered link bridge, provides an ideal transit hub for business travellers with its versatile meeting and conference spaces.
