FICCI Golf Tourism Summit on October 26-27
20 international buyers from the Scandinavia, the UK and Japan, among others, to come.
India Golf Tourism Association (IGTA) President Rajan Sehgal recently informed that the second edition of FICCI Golf Tourism Summit will be organised on October 26-27, 2015. The event was earlier scheduled for September but has been pushed to October because of a busy September that will keep the industry busy with at least three prestigious events including PATA Travel Mart, FHRAI Annual Convention and TAAI Election.
According to Sehgal, the first summit was organised at FICCI’s New Delhi headquarter but this time around it has been decided to do the summit where it belongs after the inaugural function concludes at FICCI on 26th morning. “The venue of the summit for the remaining one and half day would be ITC Grand Bharat on the outskirts of Gurgaon in the Delhi NCR. The venue is home to a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus designed signature Golf course and therefore makes for the perfect venue and setting for the Golf Summit.”
Sehgal also informed that IGTA will host about 20 leading Golf tour operators and three international Golf writers from some of the important source markets including from the Scandinavian countries, the UK and Japan among others.
The event will also include one and half day of B2B meetings. ITC Grand Bharat will host the dinner. Besides, there will be three rounds of Golf that will be played in three different Golf Courses, including at ITC Classic Golf Course at ITC Grand Bharat on 27th and at DLF Golf Course as well as Jaypee Greens Golf Course over the following two days.
The FICCI Golf Tourism Summit is organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and India Golf Tourism Association (IGTA) and is supported by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
