Ixigo brings India’s first AR feature for train passengers

Now iPhone users will be able to locate their coach position on railway platforms.

Travel search engine, Ixigo has recently introduced India’s first augmented reality (AR) feature on its train app. This feature will now make it very easy for the train passengers to locate their coach positions at more than 7,000 railway stations across the country.

Available on iOS, iPhone 6 Plus users can now use the Coach Position feature on their smartphone to locate their coaches instantly. The user needs to grant camera access to the app and point it at the railway platform and the app will present the coach positions of their train on the phone screen. A person can also use features like station alarm and get an idea about the rescheduled trains.

These new features provide will provide users with live updates and instructions to improve their train travel experience. A host of interesting iMessage stickers have been to help users communicate on the go.
