JW Cafe bags Best Dessert At World On A Plate 2017, Mumbai
The restaurant bags yet another accolade owing to desserts crafted by Chef Santosh Rawat, Executive Pastry Chef, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar.
JW Café the all day dining restaurant at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar is proud to announce its victory of the prestigious title of “WOAP DESSERT 2017” at India’s biggest and most anticipated International Food Festival – World on a Plate (WOAP) at the Mumbai edition on 4th June, 2017 at the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, Powai. This accolade was earned by Chef Santosh Rawat, Executive Pastry Chef at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar and his team of maestro chefs.
Team JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar showcased their best at WOAP with their signature dish- The Smoked Chocolate Delice, Espresso Foam. Other dishes displayed were Chocolate Caramel, Gulkand Brulee, Mango Sable, Goji Berry Baked Cheese Cake and Banana, Date Sticky Toffee Verrine. The category was judged by Michelin star chefs Adriano Zumbo and Janice Wong. The judges tasted the signature dessert from each dessert bar.
This year was World on a Plate’s second edition and it featured some of the most influential chefs across the globe such as Gary Mehigan, Ranveer Brar, Janice Wong, Adriano Zumbo and Elen Duggan. Commenting on this remarkable achievement, Chef Santosh Rawat, Executive Pastry Chef, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar said, “This has been a big feat for all of us at JW Sahar. We have been privileged that we had the opportunity to showcase our best offerings to an able and pioneer panel of expert judges. We are ecstatic with this achievement. Such feats definitely inspire us to innovate better. It gives us immense joy to add this golden feather to our cap.”
