Le Méridien New Delhi Unveils “Consciously Festive” 23-ft Christmas Tree Crafted from 300 kg of E-Waste
Le Méridien New Delhi welcomed guests to an unforgettable evening with the unveiling of its “Consciously Festive” Christmas Tree, a 23-foot installation created from 300 kilograms of responsibly sourced e-waste. Partnering exclusively with certified recyclers, the hotel transformed discarded electronics into a striking symbol of sustainability, creativity, and conscious luxury.
This year’s installation continues the hotel’s tradition of blending festive artistry with environmental advocacy. By spotlighting the urgent challenge of e-waste management, the tree inspires reflection on mindful consumption, reuse, and reimagination of materials otherwise destined for landfills.
The ceremonial lighting was led by His Excellency Mr. Kimmo Lähdevirta, Ambassador of Finland to India, accompanied by the First Lady, who together also unveiled the Advent Calendar
The evening also marked the launch of the hotel’s E-Waste Drop Box, encouraging guests and visitors to adopt responsible disposal habits. Guests were welcomed into the Atrium for the Advent Calendar Reveal by Ms. Meena Bhatia, Vice President and General Manager, unveiling daily surprises including exclusive dining offers, festive lobby moments, and seasonal treats.
