Lemon Tree Hotels expands in West Bengal

Lemon Tree Hotels, India’s largest hotel chain in the mid-priced hotel sector*, today announced the formal opening of its new hotel, Lemon Tree Hotel, Siliguri, marking its entry into West Bengal.

Carnation Hotels, the hotel management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels, will be managing this mid scale hotel owned by Unitech Mercantile Private Limited. The management agreement was signed by Rattan Keswani, Deputy Managing Director – Lemon Tree Hotels & Whole Time Director – Carnation Hotels Pvt. Ltd, and Binod Kumar Gupta, Co-promoter, Unitech Mercantile Private Limited.

Speaking on the occasion and overall expansion plans across India, Rattan Keswani, Deputy Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels and Whole Time Director, Carnation Hotels said, “We are delighted to add Lemon Tree Hotel, Siliguri, West Bengal to our mounting portfolio and look forward to welcoming our discerning guests here. This occasion marks a few firsts for Lemon Tree Hotels (through our management arm, Carnation Hotels) that will be operating in Siliguri.”

Lemon Tree Hotel, Siliguri is in close proximity to Bagdogra Airport which is just 13 kms, and a 25 minutes drive from the New Jalpaiguri railway station, the hotel offers easy access to popular tourist places like Kalimpong (61 kms), Darjeeling (70 kms), Dooars (70 kms), Gangtok (108 kms) and more, besides being well connected with important cities like Asansol, Durgapur, Khadakpur and Kolkata.

The hotel offers 52 bright rooms and suites. Each room has been tastefully decorated and suited to meet the specific needs of a business traveler with a full sized working desk and an ergonomic executive chair, to make business-on-the-go productive.

Speaking on the hotel launch, Parvez Gupta, Co-promoter of Unitech Mercantile Pvt. Ltd. said, “This is the first hotel project undertaken by the company. With Lemon Tree Hotels as our partner, we are able to fill the gap for a good branded hotel in Siliguri.”
