MakeMyTrip partnered with HICSA – Hotel Investment Conference-South Asia (HICSA) – one of the premier hospitality events for South Asian region, to present HICSA Hotels of the Year Awards 2018.

Hosted by Hotelivate, the leading hospitality consulting firm, HICSA brings together an impressive conglomeration of business leaders, think tanks and industry top brass and honours the leading players with the coveted annual awards. Amongst various notable personalities present at the occasion, Deep Kalra, Chairman and Group CEO, MakeMyTrip congratulated Manav Thandani, Founder Chairman, Hotelivate for the prominent success of the brand. MakeMyTrip sponsored and presented HICSA Hotels of the Year Award 2018 to new hotels that opened in the South Asian region.

Commenting on the partnership with HICSA, Ritwik Khare, Chief Business Officer – Hotel and Accommodation Supply, MakeMyTrip said, “We are delighted to have partnered with HICSA which is one of the most sought-after knowledge-sharing platforms for the hospitality industry. As India’s leading online travel company, we want to serve our hotel partners by accelerating the online adoption and elevating the experience of hoteliers and travellers alike. We believe, a platform like HICSA will help players in hospitality industry find more synergies to grow the deeply fragmented and under-penetrated hotels segment in India”

Commenting on the awards, Manav Thadani, Founder Chairman, Hotelivate, said – “This year was undeniably special as it marked the 10th edition of the HICSA Hotels of the Year Awards. We were pleased to present these awards with MakeMyTrip for the second time now. Over the years, we have received 400 nominations, and to be honest, it hasn’t always been easy to shortlist finalists from a pool of outstanding hotels. This year, the 52 nominations that we received were evaluated on 12 different criteria, which also included MakeMyTrip ratings, to offer a more relevant, unbiased and holistic perspective.”

Acknowledging the contribution of MakeMyTrip to the sector and at HICSA, Manav Thadani also appreciated the review system, recognizing them as the most genuine, authentic consumer feedback that the industry has. “The reviews at MakeMyTrip also add value for the jury to decide the award winners.” – he added.
