Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions slated for regional premiere at Mother of the Nation Festival

Exclusive Main Stage festival performance for show’s debut UAE performance

Visitors to this year’s Mother of the Nation Festival on Abu Dhabi Corniche will be treated to the Middle East and Africa debut of Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions, an astounding musical adventure which has been performed to sell-out audiences across the world.

Featuring a live orchestra comprising more than fifty talented members, Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is a signature one-off event that will be performed exclusively on the Main Stage of the festival on Friday 31 March from 7:10pm to 8pm, and has been lauded by fans at concerts in North and South America, Europe and Australasia.

Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is a spellbinding multimedia experience that will guide the audience through a spectacular showcase of memorable music from over 20 years of history for one of the most recognisable video game franchises in the world.

Commenting on inviting the musical and visual spectacular to Abu Dhabi, Mubarak Al Shamisi, Director, Abu Dhabi Events Bureau said: “Pokémon was launched in Japan in 1996 and today is one of the most popular and recognisable entertainment properties in the world. As a tribute to the importance of memories forged during childhood, this performance will be part of the Mother of the Nation festival’s extensive programme of events that reflect and uphold the essence of happiness, progress and the inspirational values of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima, and will provide entertainment for families and visitors of all backgrounds.”

The live concert which presents orchestral renditions of music accompanied by visuals from the Pokémon games, will serve up nostalgic passion for the international franchise that has captivated the imaginations of young children and fans for decades.

“Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is a spectacular showcase of the memorable music that has been a hallmark of the Pokémon franchise for nearly 20 years,” said J.C. The mesmerising live orchestral concert will be performed on the Main Stage during the second edition of the Mother of the Nation Festival on Friday 31 March.
