Rajesh Mudgill gets elected as the Hony Secretary of IATO
The biennial elections of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), the apex body of tour operators in India, held in Delhi. In a major change to the incumbent team, key challengers Rajesh Mudgill for the Hony Secretary and EM Najeeb for Sr. Vice President won the election beating Amarish Tiwari and Rajiv Kohli respectively. Rajesh Mudgill, Managing Director, Planet India Travels has made a comeback as Hony Secretary of IATO after an interval.
Pronab Sarkar (President), Rajiv Mehra (Vice President), Rajesh Kayasth (Joint Secretary) and Ravi Gosain (Treasurer) as the key Managing Committee members were elected unopposed even before the elections.
The new EC members (Active) are Raj Bajaj, Tony Marwah, PS Duggal, Deepak Bhushan, and Vinay Tyagi. Sunil Gupta, Zia Siddique, and Vijay Sarthi were elected from the Allied category.
Addressing the members post the results, Pronab Sarkar expressed the hope that the new members will bring new ideas into the association to take it into newer heights in coming years.
