SATTE engages industry stakeholders to shape a tech-driven and stronger 2026 Edition

Informa Markets, the organiser of SATTE (South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange), brought together key exhibitors, industry stakeholders, and partners for an exclusive evening of dialogue and collaboration at Le Meridien, New Delhi, on October 30, 2025. The engagement aimed to gather feedback, discuss key learnings from the 2025 edition, and co-create strategies to enhance infrastructure, connectivity, and visitor experience for the SATTE 2026 edition.

The 2025 edition recorded a milestone participation of 2,000 exhibitors, 40,000 visitors, and 1,000 hosted buyers—the largest in its history. With continuous digital and infrastructural upgrades at Yashobhoomi (IICC), the upcoming 2026 edition is projected to attract 2,300+ exhibitors, 45,000+ visitors, and 1,200+ buyers.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

The evening opened with remarks from Ms. Pallavi Mehra, Sr. Group Director, Informa Markets, who underscored the importance of partnership and collective growth.

“SATTE is a collective success—each exhibitor, stakeholder, and partner contributes to making it world-class. The insights shared during this engagement will directly guide our roadmap for SATTE 2026,” said Ms. Mehra.

Representatives from Yashobhoomi–IICC, including Mr. Amit Agarwal, Head – Exhibition Marketing, and Mr. Nitin Gupta, Head of Special Mission & Operations, shared updates on the extensive infrastructure and connectivity upgrades being implemented.

“The record-breaking visitor turnout at SATTE 2025 exceeded projections and provided valuable learning experiences. These insights are shaping our approach for a more seamless and technology-enabled 2026 edition,” said Mr. Gupta.

Upgrades and Enhancements at Yashobhoomi (IICC)

To ensure a smoother experience for exhibitors and visitors, several upgrades are being rolled out at Yashobhoomi ahead of SATTE 2026, including:

  • Enhanced Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity with dedicated secure access zones.
  • Strengthened mobile network bandwidth in collaboration with major telecom partners.
  • Introduction of digital entry systems with QR-coded gates for efficient access.
  • Expansion of food courts and vending zones to cater to larger crowds.
  • Activation of three main entry gates to better distribute traffic flow.
  • Designated parking areas for exhibitors and visitors.

Organisers also encouraged participants to share technical and digital requirements in advance to facilitate smooth operations during the event.

SATTE’s Growth and Global Recognition

Recognised as South Asia’s largest travel and tourism exhibition, SATTE continues to break new ground in terms of participation and satisfaction scores:

The 2025 edition achieved a Customer Satisfaction Score of 9.22/10 and Net Promoter Scores (NPS) of 72.2 among exhibitors and 79.3 among visitors—among the highest in the exhibition industry. Furthermore, 84% of visitors rated SATTE as highly important for their business, while 88.5% of exhibitors confirmed their intent to return.

The 2025 edition was inaugurated by prominent dignitaries including Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte, Uzbekistan Tourism Minister Umid Shadiev, and Thailand’s Vice Minister of Tourism & Sports, Jakkaphon Tangsutthitham.

Stakeholder Feedback and Industry Support

Industry leaders present at the event appreciated Informa Markets’ proactive engagement and commitment to addressing operational challenges.

Dr. Subhash Goyal, Founder & Chairman, STIC Travel Group, praised SATTE for maintaining its global standards while supporting India’s tourism ecosystem.

“SATTE remains India’s only travel show comparable to WTM or ITB. Its strength lies in providing an accessible and effective platform for small and medium operators to connect with global markets,” said Dr. Goyal.

In response, Ms. Mehra reaffirmed SATTE’s focus on inclusivity, highlighting initiatives such as the Kerala Lounge and Atithi Zone, designed to enable affordable participation for SMEs. Plans are also underway to introduce special zones for adventure tourism and niche segments in the 2026 edition.

The evening concluded with an informal networking dinner, reinforcing SATTE’s position as a platform that connects, collaborates, and co-creates value across the global travel ecosystem.
