Setting up unique ecotourist hub in North Bengal
West Bengal Tourism is looking to offer a boost to lesser-known eco-tourist destinations in North Bengal.
In an attempt to offer a push to the tourism development in West Bengal, the state tourism department is gearing up with its promotional campaign and has rolled out its new brand logo-Experience Bengal; The Sweetest part of India.
Kolkata has an unlimited tourism potential but till now no such global travel mart has been held in the city. Surajit Bose, Joint Director of Tourism, Government of West Bengal, said, “Organizing global travel mart depends upon the ministry of state tourism. There is the forthcoming Kolkata Christmas Festivala cherished project of West Bengal Tourism. Held on Park Street in the city in December, the Kolkata Christmas festival has become quite popular over the past three years.”
