St. Moritz captivates with new highlights in the fields of events, culture, nightlife and cuisine

In anticipation of the upcoming FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in February 2017, St. Moritz is presenting a host of surprises‒ with new bars, restaurants and shops, coupled with top-level events.

Entertainment programme alongside the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2017

In good time for the Alpine World Ski Championships (6–9.2.2017), the freshly renovated, 110-year old Kulm Country Club in the Kulm Park has re-emerged in new splendour. During the Ski Championships, both the opening ceremony and the medal presentations will be held in the Kulm Park.

The Kulm Park Party features Swiss musicians, various entertainers and DJs. All the live concerts except for the opening ceremony are free of charge. Every day, Ski Championship fans are treated to cultural Street Festival, during which a variety of performances by Graubünden artists are staged in St. Moritz’s pedestrian zone. Vibrant nightlife

Hotel Schweizerhof St. Moritz has introduced the new QN Bar by Reto Kuhn, a hotspot for the night owls where they can party and enjoy classic bar drinks and an exclusive selection of quality cigars. Also, night clubs such as Suite, The Cava Bar the Vivai Dance Club and Pampa, have joined forces and are celebrating their reopening in winter 2016/17. The highest-lying outdoor shopping mile in Europe has been further enriched by a new pop-up store belonging to the Swiss ski and golf brand, Kjus, at Via Maistra 21.The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer, IWC Schaffhausen,treats watch aficionados to exquisite Haute Horlogerie creations. In the new Pur Alps, gourmets can find authentic Alpine specialities, combined with a cosy bistro. A new jewellery shop, Spremberg, has taken up residence in the heart of the village.  Cultural highlights

After two years of renovation work, the Museum Engiadina is now sporting a new look. The Kino Scala St. Moritz cinema has found a new home in the art nouveau-style auditorium of the Hotel Reine Victoria. In addition, the sculpture entitled “The Sky Over Nine Columns”by Heinz Mack, which is currently travelling around the world, can be admired on the shore of Lake St Moritz until the middle of March. Graubünden artist Linard Nicolay is exhibiting his sculptures at the Central Kunstgalerie in St. Moritz until the end of March 2017. Meanwhile, the Cristal and Glam Gallery treats the eye to exquisite works of art. Culture lovers can look forward to two outstanding lifestyle events: this year the Festival da Jazz celebrates its 10th anniversary and with its Pre Sound Night Extended programme is putting on a series of first-class jazz concerts (31.3.–2.4.2017). Culinary treats

In winter 2016/17, Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz is further enhanced by the pop-up restaurant, IGNIV by Andreas Caminada. This is the second time that 3-star Swiss chef Andreas Caminada will be implementing his “fine dining sharing experience” concept.During the winter season, the new alpine chic Chalet Italia, situated in the park in front of the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains, invites guests to spend a few convivial hours together over a fondue and mulled wine. The Hotel Laudinella treats guests to original Italian dishes and live music in its après-ski hut, the rustic-style Grottino.
