Sultanate of Oman to host the 2nd UNWTO/UNESCO Culture and Tourism Conference
The 2nd UNWTO/UNESCO Culture and Tourism Conference will take place on 11th and 12th December 2017 in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
The Conference will bring together Ministers of Tourism and Ministers of Culture of different countries to identify key opportunities and obstacles for a stronger cooperation between tourism and culture; and to discuss sustainable development that strengthen the socio-economic links, reinforce mutual engagement in the promotion, protection and safeguarding of culture and heritage.
The United Nations has declared 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development hence keeping in line with the theme the conference will revolve around sustainable development that strengthens the socio-economic links, reinforce mutual engagement in the promotion, protection and safeguarding of culture and heritage.
For those participants who wish to attend this conference, the host government will be providing a free Oman visa.
