The Fern Hotels and Resorts organize Khao Galli Food Fest in 17 cities across India
“In a unique experiment in the food and beverages industry, The Fern Hotels and Resorts is organizing a street food fest in as many as 17 cities across the country”, the COO of the company, Suhail Kannampilly said. The fest will start on Aug 10 and will continue till Aug 20.
We have properties right from Agra to Jaipur to Ahmedabad participating in the festival. The response has been encouraging from the hotels and we will be continuing with our experiment in the F&B canvas. The idea behind organizing such a fest is to make people satisfy their cravings for all those hot, crunchy and crispy street food especially during monsoon without bothering about infections and lack of hygiene. Another reason for doing the festival is to showcase the rich and diverse street food from one particular region to another one, he pointed out.
Food picked from various streets of the country will be showcased in the confines of the restaurant during the ten day long festival. The chefs have ensured that the taste is not compromised and the food served has the same flavors with the highest hygiene standards followed. The patrons can savor right from ragda pattice to bhel puri. The other offerings include ragada samosa, pani puri, dahi puri, dahi wada etc. And yes the masala cutting chai (adrak wali) is also there!
Calcutta veg roll, pav bhaji, mini veg samosa, mirchi bhajji are some of the vegetarian food that will be served over a ten-day period. Those who like roadside Chinese can relish chinese bhel, vegetable fried rice, vegetable noodles and Manchurian.
For non-veg, there will be kathi roll, kheema pav, mini keema samosa etc. Other non-veg delicacies consist of chicken lollipop, pepper chicken, chicken-65 and tangdi kabab as well. The dessert spread will have matka kulfi, double ka meetha, khubani ka meetha, jalebi with rabri etc.
