China Eastern Airlines has a whole range of exciting offers for fliers with a long transit at Shanghai.
Connecting New Delhi and Kolkata with Mainland China is China Eastern Airlines and in today’s times, it has become a regular service for fliers from both the cities of India. It’s been past 10 years that the airline has been flying from New Delhi to Shanghai and over seven years flying out of Kolkata to Kunming. The airline receives a plethora of corporate fliers from New Delhi. According to Owen Zhou Zengrong, General Manger-India, China Eastern Airlines, “A lot of leisure and MICE tourists are travelling by our airline from Kolkata to Kunming and we have kick-started corporate travel in the city. Our airline boasts of a robust network across the world and there are flights from China reaching out to the East Coast and to the West Coast of the United States. Our business has shot up by 20 per cent year-on-year basis. We are quite upbeat about the Indian market and India happens to be a significant player for China.” There are other world-class global airline players and China Eastern Airlines ranks among the top five global airline players. “Our airline provides world-class service with the attraction of eastern charm and our fares are quite competitive,” said Zengrong. The airline is toying up with its interesting expansion plans for India. “We are charting out plans to link Mumbai with Shanghai, the two financial hubs of India and China in the future,” added Zengrong. There are other facilities the airline provides to long-haul destination fliers who opt for a long transit at Shanghai. Rajesh Sekhar, Sales and Marketing Manager, China Eastern Airlines informed, “We have on offer four options for longdistant fliers including either providing a room in the hotel or fliers can get a free ticket to Maglev highspeed train at Shanghai Airport that runs at 300 km per hour or avail of a meal voucher or a foot massage at the airport.” “A lot of leisure and MICE tourists are travelling by our airline from Kolkata to Kunming and we have kick-started corporate travel in the city.
