Vistara bags top honours in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards

Vistara has been awarded the ‘Best Airline in India’ in the second edition of TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice® Awards 2018 for Airlines. In addition to bagging the grand jewel, Vistara’s win goes beyond the Indian borders with two more awards in the Asia category, namely  ‘Best Regional Airline – Asia’ and Travellers’ Choice Winner (Economy Class) – Asia, by TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of airline reviews and ratings submitted by travellers worldwide, over a 12-month period on TripAdvisor Flights.

TripAdvisor’s team including Nikhil Ganju, Country Manager, TripAdvisor India and Priyanka Gargav, Associate Director, Flights – APAC, TripAdvisor, presented the awards to Team Vistara, including representatives of the airline’s cabin crew and ground services staff that earn such laurels for Vistara.

Elated on the occasion, Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer of Vistara, said, “We are truly humbled to receive such glorious honours. It is incredibly satisfying to see our customers acknowledge the sincere efforts of our employees, especially the frontline staff and crew, in their unprejudiced reviews, and rate us amongst the highest in the world on TripAdvisor. Winning such prestigious accolades despite being the youngest full-service carrier in the country with a relatively smaller scale speaks much of our deep-rooted passion for delivering an exceptional flying experience to thousands of customers every single day. We are confident that the ‘new feeling of flying’ with Vistara is only going to get better in the days ahead.”

Congratulating Vistara on its win, Nikhil Ganju, Country Manager, TripAdvisor India’s said, “This recognition within just three years of operations is a clear testament to Vistara’s commitment to excellence. We wish them all the very best.” It’s raining awards and accolades for Vistara from the start of 2018. Recently, Vistara was awarded for being the ‘Most Passenger Friendly Airline’, jointly by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (Govt. of India), Airports Authority of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), as well as the title of ‘Best Airline – Service Standards’ (Domestic Category) by Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) at ITB Berlin 2018.

As the highest-rated Indian airline on SkyTrax and TripAdvisor, and winner of numerous “Best in Industry” awards, Vistara has consistently raised the bar in the Indian aviation industry and made flying an experience to look forward to again. In a short span of three years, Vistara has flown over 8.5 million customers, and today serves 22 destinations with over 730 flights a week, operated by a fleet of 20 Airbus A320 aircraft.

Winners were based on airline reviews submitted on TripAdvisor Flights or via one of TripAdvisor’s review collection partners from February 2017 to February 2018.
