WOW air to start low-cost flights linking India, Europe, North America
WOW air announced the launch of its flight operations in India from December 7, 2018, with ‘airfares that will enable everyone to fly’. The airline said that it will have five direct flights a week between New Delhi and Keflavik airport in Iceland that will connect to multiple destinations in North America and Europe.
WOW air will operate an Airbus 330 neo to India, which is its first market in Asia. Flights will have 365 seats, about 42 business class — not the usual lie flat beds — and the rest economy, barring a few seats that offer extra leg room. “India is a huge market,” Skúli Mogensen, chief executive, WOW air, told Economic Times.
