Deccan Odyssey unveils Plans for next Season

Meetings & Incentives, Compact Journeys and technology upgradation make way in 2017 

Deccan Odyssey, Asia’s leading luxury train and winner of the World Travel Awards was showcased at the Great India Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2017 in Jaipur recently. A slew of announcements were made by Mr Arup Sen, director, Special Projects, Cox & Kings Ltd.

To begin with, the train will be refurbished before the beginning of the new season in October. It will also undergo an overhaul wherein pneumatic suspension system will be installed in order to make the ride more comfortable. In keeping with the latest technology, biodegradable toilets will be installed thereby bringing in the much-needed facelift for the train.

These announcements were made whilst the palatial train was stationed at the Durgapura Station, Jaipur from 24th April -25th April 2017, for international tour operators to witness the grandeur and indulge in its finest cuisine on board.

Unveiling the major initiatives, Mr Arup Sen, director, special projects, Cox & Kings said,” Deccan Odyssey assures unique and unforgettable experiences to all. We are also delighted to welcome companies to explore unique incentive programmes with us. We are working on shorter and compact journeys for the domestic tourists to come and experience the majesty as well”

As International tourists from the UK, US, Australia, Germany and South Africa continue to explore India royally onboard the Deccan Odyssey, the legendary train journeys are also in great demand by the domestic tourists. Adding unique and shorter journeys will further attract local tourists.

The Deccan Odyssey treats each of their guests to unprecedented luxury on wheels and it consists of 21 luxury coaches. The train is also home to four resplendent Presidential Suites with exquisite decor and all modern amenities.

The two gourmet restaurants, Waavar and Utsav on board help our guests taste the local specialities of each of the very diverse states that the train makes its way through. These are supplemented by a full bar, a lounge even a spa and a beauty salon.

The royal train also boasts of unique features and amenities such as 24*7 Wi-Fi connectivity, cell phones & LCD TVs in every cabin.The Deccan Odyssey also offers cabins for guests with special needs, designed keeping in mind with special requirements.
