Sabre’s new FareNabber API inspires the smartest air shopping experience

Newest shopping capability of the Sabre platform enables developers, OTAs and agents to provide travelers with the right flight, at the right time, for the right price through the power of automated search.

Sabre Corporation, the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, is launching its new FareNabber API today at Sabre’s TTX innovation conference in Las Vegas, which will empower travel companies and developers to create a smarter, more personalized experience for consumers when shopping for airfares.

In a world where technology is regularly used to automate and simplify common tasks, consumers expect the same experience when shopping for travel. Today’s travelers want to shop for airfares in new ways. They want to define their preferred trip criteria and be alerted when options that meet their needs become available – rather than spend valuable time monitoring flight options to find the best deal.

The newest API in Sabre’s platform, FareNabber gives developers, OTAs and agents the ability to offer travelers the perfect flight options through the power of automated search. It allows them to display flight listings faster while enabling more bookings by automatically searching and identifying flight options based on customer preference.

Travelers can be notified of preferred flights by selecting their preferences including:
· Origin and destination
· Number of passengers
· Date flexibility, including days of the week
· Departure time or arrival time window
· Preferred airlines
· Maximum acceptable fare per person

“Today, the traveler is at the center of our ecosystem, and the perfect flight is at the core of the travel experience,” said Wade Jones, president of Sabre Travel Network. “FareNabber empowers the world’s leading OTAs, developers and travel companies to take air fare shopping to the next level through the combined power of data and technology.”

Sabre’s new API capability provides travel companies with a unique shopping experience for their tech-savvy customers, and enhances their existing online capabilities to let travelers know the best time to fly and to buy airfare.
