ixigo opens new product development center In Bengaluru
Initial focus to be on travel technology innovations for suppliers
ixigo expands its footprint in Bengaluru by opening a new product development centre in the city. The centre will focus on research and development of technology solutions to enhance the direct-selling capability of travel suppliers. Chandramouli Gopalakrishnan will head the new centre as Vice President – Special Projects.
Commenting on the launch of the new center, Aloke Bajpai, CEO & Co-Founder, ixigo said – “ixigo has been at the forefront of travel technology in India for the last decade. With Chandramouli leading our Bengaluru team, we will work towards developing innovations to augment capabilities of travel suppliers, and co-create cutting-edge travel technology to enhance supplier-direct growth of our partners.”
Chandramouli, in his new role, will setup a special projects team, which will work closely with ixigo’s Gurgaon based product & technology teams. Prior to joining ixigo, he has held product leadership roles at Shotang, Stayzilla and Goibibo, where he was responsible for product feature planning, developing end-to-end product experiences and design.
Kanchi Chawla, VP Human Resources, ixigo added, “Bengaluru is known as India’s Silicon Valley because of its large pool of product & technology talent.
