Aalia Collection appoints Kavinder Besoya as Chief Operating Officer for India
Aalia Collection, the latest boutique hospitality venture by JPL Hospitality Services Pvt. Ltd. is pleased to announce the appointment of Kavinder Besoya as the Chief Operating Officer effective March 7, 2024.
In his new role, Kavinder will lead Aalia Collection operations in India, which consists of four hotels. With a career spanning over 20 years in luxury hospitality, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position.
Prior to joining Aalia Collection, Kavinder served as the Assistant Vice President- Sales and Marketing at Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, where he played a pivotal role in driving sales strategies and enhancing brand visibility. He also held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at The Oberoi, Trident, Gurgaon and Trident, Hyderabad where he excelled in developing partnerships and expanding the company’s reach in key domestic and global markets.
Kavinder’s extensive experience in the industry is derived from his tenures at various prestigious establishments including JW Marriot New Delhi – Aerocity, Leela Palace Hotels and Resorts and HMC, where he served as the Vice President, handling One Rep Global and MICE Verse brands. His strategic leadership and innovative approach contributed significantly to the company’s growth and success in the competitive hospitality landscape.
Throughout his career, Kavinder has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the tourism industry. He was honoured with the prestigious award for being one of the “100 Most Influential Leaders in the Tourism Industry” by Business Television India (BTVI) in 2019, a testament to his dedication, vision, and leadership prowess.
With his exemplary track record and skill, he is set to play a crucial role in fortifying the Group’s leadership in both the Indian and international markets. His focus will be on enhancing brand positioning, particularly in the niche luxury boutique hotels segment. With a forward-looking perspective, he aims to broaden this portfolio to include more hotels, thereby magnifying their combined influence on the hospitality industry landscape in both domestic as well as global markets.
