Visa Information for the Republic of Angola (Angola)

Visa Note & Fees

Residence Visa
• The Applicant should have a passport (original) valid for at least 6 months prior to applying for a visa.
• The Visa application form needs to be duly-filled both in Original and Duplicate.
• 2 passport-size photographs (not to be stapled on the form)
• Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan Company known as DAR (Documento de Arrecadacao de Receitas- ‘Document pertaining to the collection of revenues’). It should be duly notarized by Angolan notary to send to the Invitee.
• Photocopy of the main pages of the Passport and of those pages stating information of international travel (if any).
• A Medical Certificate translated and duly attested by the MEA.
• Police clearance certificate declaring that the concerned person has no criminal record, as per the Law of the country of the applicant which should be duly translated and attested by MEA, Patiala House, Consular House, New Delhi.
• Affidavit certified by Notary of the Beneficiary promising to respect Angolan Law.
• Evidence of funds for subsistence in Angola.
• Clearance of Yellow Fever.
• Proof of being of relations with Nationals or Foreigners already residing in Angola.
• A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travelers over 1 year of age.
• 2 photocopies of the receipt of Visa fee with the name of the Applicant and Company written on the reverse.
Visa Category Visa Fee
Visa fee is Rs. 20000

Work Permit Visa
• The Applicant should have a valid passport which is at least 6 months before applying for a visa.
• Two copies of the duly filled visa application form.
• 2 passport-size photographs (not to be stapled on the form).
• Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan Company known as DAR (Documento de Arrecadacao de Receitas- ‘Document pertaining to the collection of revenues’). Documents should be duly notarized by Angolan notary to send to the Invitee.
• Original Medical Certificates translated and attested by the MEA, Patiala House (Consular Division), New Delhi.
• Original Police Clearance Certificate translated and attested by the MEA, Patiala House (Consular Division), New Delhi.
• An undertaking to respect the Law of Angolan.
• Original Graduation and Post Graduation Certificates either translated or attested.
• A Covering letter and Employment Agreement / Contract from the concerned Angolan Company.
• Certified copies of Instituto Do Investimento Estrageiro.
• Certified copies of Tax Card.
• Clearance of Yellow Fever.
• Copies of Diario Da Republica, iii series N 99.
• 2 photocopies of the receipt of Visa fee with the name of the applicant and Company written on the reverse.

I. -Alvara Commercial- Ministrio do Comercio
II. -Certifiado de authorizacao do Exercicio de actividade commercial externa- Ministerio do comercio
III. -Registo Estatistico E Respectivo certificado Ministerio do Comercio.
IV. -Documento De Liquidacao de Impostos-Minsterio das financas.
V. -Cartao De Contribuine ? Ministerio Das Financas
VI. -Certidao de registo comercal ? Ministerio do Comercio Inter.
VII. -A Covering letter and Employment Agreement / Contract from the Angolan Company concerned.
VIII. -Certified copies of Instituto Do Investimento Estrageiro.
IX. -Certified copies of Tax Card.
X. -Copies of Diario Da Republica, iii series N 99.
XI. -Invitation letter for Work.
XII. -Contact letter for Work Signed by the Company and the Employee.
XIII. -A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travellers over 1 year of age.

Seamen Visa
• The Applicant must have a passport (original) valid for at least 6 months before applying for a visa.
• One visa form (photocopy is permitted).
• 2 passport-size photographs (should not be stapled on the form).
• Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan Company known as DAR (Documento de Arrecadacao de Receitas- ‘Document pertaining to the collection of revenues’). Documents should be duly notarized by Angolan notary to send to the Invitee.
• Application should be attached with confirmed return air ticket.
• Indian sea men traveling on duty must hold a letter of guarantee from the Shipping Company with the requisite ‘Seaman Book’ and ‘passport’.
• A fax message from the Shipping Agent in Angola stating particulars of the seamen, date and port of joining the ship is needed.
• Bank statement of the last six months should be attached.
• Income tax returns of last three years.
• Original Police Clearance Certificate translated and attested by the MEA, Patiala House (Consular Division), New Delhi.
• Clearance of Yellow Fever
• The onward country visa should be stamped on passport.
• Visa applications are referred to Angola and approval can take duration of up to 25 days.
• Also, processing time is 5 working days after visa approval is received
• Visa is issued for a stay of 30 days with single entry and is valid for two months.
• A yellow fever vaccination certificate is need to be obtained from travelers over 1 year of age.
• Application should be attached with 2 photocopies of the receipt of Visa fee with the name of the applicant and company written on the reverse.

Transit Visa
• The Applicant should have a passport (original) valid for at least 6 months prior applying for a visa.
• One visa form (photocopy allowed)
• 2 passport-size photographs (should not be stapled on the form).
• Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan Company known as DAR (Documento de Arrecadacao de Receitas- ‘Document pertaining to the collection of revenues’). The document should be duly notarized by Angolan notary to send to the Invitee.
• A covering letter stating the purpose of visit.
• Proof of sufficient funds to sustain your stay in Angola.
• The Bank statement of last six months.
• Income tax returns of last three years.
• Original Police Clearance Certificate translated and duly attested by the MEA, Patiala House (Consular Division), New Delhi.
• Yellow Fever clearance.
• Stamped visa for onward country
• Visa applications are referred to Angola, and approval can take around 25 days.
• The processing time is 5 working days once the visa approval is received.
• Visa is issued for a stay of 24 hours and is valid for two months.
• A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travelers over 1 year of age.
• 2 photocopies of the receipt of Visa fee with the name of the Applicant and Company written on the reverse.

Tourist Visa
Angola does not issue tourist visa.

Business Visa
• The Applicant should have a passport (original) valid for at least 6 months prior applying for a visa.
• Photocopy of first & last page of the passport.
• One visa form (photocopy is permitted).
• 1 passport-size photograph (not stapled on the form) but glued.
• Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan Company known as DAR (Documento de Arrecadacao de Receitas- ‘Document pertaining to the collection of revenues’). Documents should be duly notarized by Angolan notary to send to the Invitee.
• Application should be confirmed return air ticket.
• A covering letter from the Indian Company concerned, stating the purpose of visit.
• A letter of invitation from the inviting company attested by the Angolan Foreign Ministry in Portuguese language, stating their License details and Registration Number. It should be faxed directly to the Embassy.
• The applicant should also submit the National ID Card Copy / Resident Card Copy or Work Permit Card Copy of the authorized signatory attested by the Angola ministry along with the Invitation Letter.
• Proof of Business Correspondence from counterpart in Angola is also mandatory.
• Original Police Clearance Certificate translated and attested by the MEA, Patiala House (Consular Division), New Delhi.
• Visa applications are referred to Angola, and approval can take roughly 25 days. Processing time is 5 working days after visa approval is received.
• Visa is issued for a stay of 30 days with single entry.
• A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travelers visiting Angola over 1 year of age.
• 2 photocopies of the receipt of Visa fee with the name of the Applicant and Company written on the reverse.
