A centralised food and beverage area provides many options for visitors to choose from
In its second edition, the Mother of the Nation Festival is serving up a variety of food and beverage options and unique dining concepts in its Beach Dining Zone. From upscale restaurants to street food trucks, there are plenty of tasty treats to tempt food-lovers during the 10 days of the Festival.
Organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and held along Abu Dhabi Corniche until 4th April, the Mother of the Nation Festival is dedicated to highlighting the values of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak and the importance of family coherence and cultural understanding across UAE society.
Located throughout the central stretch of the Festival and spread across two distinct areas, the Beach Dining Zone offers more than 50 dining options, presenting visitors with an appetising selection of local and international flavours, along with comfortable seating arrangements, creating a relaxing atmosphere for all to enjoy. Fast food lovers are excited to spot their favourites: Shmokins, Mr. Brisket, Calle Tacos and Tandem, who are tempting visitors with their wide variety of burgers and tex-mex dishes. Those with a sweet tooth can be seen queuing up in front of Royal Crepes Cafeteria, La Crème Brulee Maison, Mini Pancake and Froste Bite.
Throughout the Festival, there are plenty of seating options such as benches and reclining chairs. Visitors are also invited to donate food, clothes and toys to the less fortunate, through charity banks located across the Beach Dining Zone.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPTIONS
The enticing selection of dishes are being served from a variety of colourful containers, which have been specifically converted for the event, and food trucks, which offer a range of worldwide cuisines and pop-up outlets. In addition to a delectable assortment of food, visitors are provided with easy access to entertaining performances and live music from the Festival’s Main Stage.
Visitors are fascinated with Lords of Lightning, the world-famous electrifying performance which draws on elements on modern dance, martial arts and Tesla electricity. Another feature this year is the Urban Garden, an area where residents and visitors alike can relax in tranquillity and be at one with nature.
AMATEUR VS. CHEF CHALLENGES
For budding amateur chefs, Chef challenges are being held pitting budding amateurs against professional chefs in a cooking challenge. Each competitor presents their final dishes for a blind taste-test to the audience, who then choose the winner.
CHEF CHALLENGES
Another set of distinctive Chef challenges are taking place where two chefs compete against one another and create inspiring dishes using a secret ingredient. The final dishes are judged by the audience through an interactive vote.
