Hong Kong Airlines joins the Sabre Airline Solutions global customer community
New partnership to increase efficiency both in the air and on the ground through greater connectivity
Sabre Corporation announced an agreement with Hong Kong Airlines to implement Sabre AirCentre Crew technology, a solution that offers a range of crew scheduling, management, services and analytical capabilities. This new partnership marks a significant collaboration between Sabre and a fast-growing airline in the Asia Pacific region.
Increased connectivity between the aircraft, flight crew, and airline staff represents a tremendous opportunity for Hong Kong Airlines to optimize its processes both in the air and on the ground. Once fully implemented, Sabre’s Crew Solutions will help reduce controllable delays by improving productivity related to scheduling, benefitting both the flight and cabin crew. The technology encourages a proactive approach that fosters timely communication between schedulers and crew members, reduces costs by minimizing crew overage, and contributes to increased productivity by better connecting all touchpoints, promoting better crew utilisation through optimized pairings, scheduling and tracking. Additionally, the solution drives improved operational efficiency by providing a more proactive means of tracking and communicating with crew in real-time.
“Sabre is proud to embark on this new partnership with Hong Kong Airlines as they expand routes from Hong Kong both globally and regionally, while also investing in a growing aircraft fleet. With Sabre’s leading Crew Solutions technology, Hong Kong Airlines will be working with a proven, established solution that will empower them to achieve their business objectives,” said Dasha Kuksenko, Sabre Airline Solutions vice president and regional general manager, Asia Pacific.
“Sabre provides an end-to-end solution for both our cabin and flight crews, allowing us to continue to provide our customers with the best travelling experience,” said Ben Wong, chief operating officer at Hong Kong Airlines. “Already, a benchmark exercise demonstrated that Sabre AirCentre Crew Solutions can deliver savings due to a reduction in crew requirements, in comparison with the current pairing process. This demonstrates the immense added value that this new partnership with Sabre brings to Hong Kong Airlines,” he added.
The announcement marks the beginning of a strong relationship between Sabre and Hong Kong Airlines and further cements Sabre as a leading travel technology partner for the Asia Pacific region. Sabre’s leading Crew Solutions are connecting more than 100 airlines globally, and Sabre’s AirCentre Crew Manager highlights its ongoing commitment to provide innovative capabilities for airlines.
